What is it?
The High Energy Schools' Challenge is designed to awaken students' interest in the energy industry.
The High Energy Schools' Challenge was first organised as a local classroom quiz for schools in the Great Yarmouth area. Year on year the challenge has grown and for the first time last year was filmed in High-Definition and is now availble to watch via the internet and download in a variety of versions.
Teams of three year-nine students representing their schools take part after doing their "homework", investigating the importance of the industry, its regional supply chain and career opportunities. All students are given the Energy Information Pack to work from prior to the quiz taking place.
Devised by EEEGR - the East of England Energy Group - the event is well sponsored by leading energy industry companies and now peaks with the challenge filmed in high definition at EPIC Studios in Norwich.
